Although Caitlin Clark will be amongst the rarefied air of athletes with a signature sneaker, she holds the Kobe line in the highest of regards.
Since she burst onto the national scene a few years ago, the Kobe line has been her on-court weapon of choice, with her taking to the hardwood in a variety of colorways for most of her amateur career and that has continued even into her time as a professional.
When recently asked about her favorite Kobe sneakers Clark said, “The ‘Bruce Lees’ ‘the ‘Del Sols’, the ‘Grinches’, I’m a Kobe person, everyone knows that. Like, it’s the best shoe, it’s not even close.”
Caitlin Clark unveiled her own PE of the Kobe V Protro at a recent Indiana Fever practice. The yellow and black sneakers are inspired by her Iowa Hawkeyes and the Indiana Fever.
We share her view on the Kobe line, particularly the V and the VI, the latter of which is a performance masterpiece.
Here is what our lead writer had to say about the Kobe V and VI.
