In the Lakers’ recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a 111-102 Lakers win, LeBron James laced up the “Christ the King” LeBron XXII PEs. Made for the basketball team of the Queens, New York high school, they sport a gold nubuck upper with a yellow leather underlay forming the outline of the lateral side Swoosh and wrapping to the medial side.
Gold also takes care of the LeBron signature at the rear heel, with maroon showing up on the small Swoosh on the medial forefoot, and the LeBron XXII logo on the rear heel and laces.
Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a gold midsole with an iridescent Swoosh on the lateral side paired with a CTK logo on the medial side, as well as a golden outsole.
As it currently stands, there has been no indication that a retail release is in the works. We will report that news should that ever change.
