Dubbed the “Reverse Metallic”, this is a new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 that Jordan Brand is somehow going to crowbar into a holiday season that is already bursting at the seams with releases.
As can be ascertained by its nickname, it is an inverse of the classic “Black Metallic”, however this eschews the black nubuck upper for that of white leather. Clear netting has its usual place on the lateral and medial sides, as does the reflective tongue, but a black Jumpman is perched atop it instead of fire red.
Sail shows up on the black Jumpman branded lace locks, while black also stands in on the inner.
Underneath the aforementioned upper resides the same midsole we are accustomed to seeing on the “Black Metallic” – black with black speckled silver teeth- and sail-tinted translucent outsole.
As it currently stands, the “Reverse Metallic” Air Jordan 5 is set to debut December 7 at nike.com and select retail establishments.
