ATLANTA, GA. (July 12, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) returns to ESPN for the third straight year this fall with 22 college football games to air exclusively across ESPN platforms, including ESPNU and ESPN+.

The 2023 lineup features exciting and historical matchups like the season-opening Boeing Red Tails Classic, the Fountain City Classic, and the Morehouse-Tuskegee Classic, as well as the highly-anticipated SIAC Football Championship Game on November 11.

Beginning this fall, all 13 SIAC football programs will compete in a modified eight-game conference schedule with four primary rivals concluding with a SIAC Football Championship Game.

“Today marks an extraordinary chapter in a new era of SIAC football,” said SIAC Commissioner Anthony Holloman. “It is with immense pleasure, I unveil our new streaming schedule that not only fortifies our commitment to showcasing the exceptional talents of our member institutions and student-athletes but also ushers in an era of boundless opportunity. We express our profound gratitude to ESPN for their unwavering support, enabling us to craft compelling live game content and captivating complementary programming that will leave our fervent fans enraptured. This remarkable collaboration signifies a resounding triumph for our conference, and we eagerly anticipate the awe-inspiring moments that lie ahead, etching a lasting impression in the hearts of all SIAC fans.”

Two SIAC games will air live on ESPNU this season. ESPN Events’ third annual Boeing Red Tails Classic is set for Sunday, Sept. 3 at the historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala., between Tuskegee University and Fort Valley State University. The Red Tails Classic, which debuted in 2021, was created to celebrate Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and honor the Tuskegee Airmen who fought in World War II. Since its inception, the Wildcats remain undefeated in the classic, but the Golden Tigers lead the all-time series with Fort Valley State 32-22-2. The Fort Valley State-Benedict matchup will also be featured on ESPNU on Thursday, Oct. 12.

The reigning SIAC champion Benedict College Tigers will be featured three times on ESPN platforms, including two home games in Columbia, S.C., and an early-season road game at Edward Waters College.

Among the top rivalries highlighted on this year’s schedule include four matchups on ESPN+ on Saturday, Nov. 4 in Week 10: Tuskegee University vs. Miles College, Clark Atlanta University vs. Morehouse College, Central State University vs. Kentucky State University, and the Fountain City Classic in Columbus, Ga., between Fort Valley State University and Albany State University.

The season-ending SIAC Football Championship Game on November 11, pitting the top two teams against each other based on winning percentage in conference play, will be streamed live.
