A Harlem couple had a terrifying experience when they were held at knifepoint by a group of robbers.
According to video released by police, shows two women entering the apartment building. Two men who were with them kicked open the apartment door and entered the residence.
Once inside the 23-year-old male and 20-year-old female who resided there were threatened with a knife while the robbers proceeded to steal 20 pairs of sneakers that were worth approximately $6,000 and another $4,000 in cash, police said.
A fifth accomplice, who was apparently the getaway driver , was behind the wheel of a great Ford van the crooks absconded in.
One of the female suspects was wearing a ripped denim jacket and purple sneakers. The other had red hair and wore a black and orange jacket and red sneakers. One of the male subjects wore dark clothing with blue gloves, and the other was decked out in all-white. The getaway driver a white hoodie with “EXP” on the back, grey pants and black sneakers.
The two victims were not injured in the robbery.
