Though the MEAC, CIAA, and the SIAC have all announced their plans to cancel fall sports, the fate of SWAC sports has yet to be decided. Tavaris Jackson killed in auto accident

Former NFL quarterback back Tavaris Jackson died as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile crash last weekend near his Pike Road, Alabama home. The former Alabama State product began his collegiate football career at the University of Arkansas before transferring to Alabama State in 2003. As a Hornet, Jackson helped lead them to the Eastern Division crown and an appearance in the SWAC title game in 2004 and was named a team captain and all-conference performer in 2005, his senior season.
