In the Indiana Fever’s highly anticipated game with the Chicago Sky, Caitlin Clark broke out a new Kobe VI Protro PE. In a performance that would have brought a smile to their namesake, dropped a career-high 31 points and dropped 12 dimes in the Fever’s 100-81 thumping of Chicago Sky Friday night.  Clark’s Kobe VI Protro sports light blue scales situated atop a similarly colored and white upper. At WNBA All-Star practice, Caitlin Clark, the most polarizing basketball player this side of LeBron James, broke out a yet-to-be-seen PE of the Kobe VI Protro.  They sport a pink scaled upper adorned on the sides with green Swooshes. The same green also shows up on the Kobe logo on the tongue, at the rear heel overlay, and underneath the external heel counter.  Below is a pink midsole as well as a rubber outsole that likely features additional green Kobe branding.  There is no word of a planned retail release…

Caitlin Clark nearing eight-figure deal with Nike

The no.1 overall pick in this week’s WNBA Draft, Iowa guard Caitlin Clark, is reportedly close to finalizing an endorsement deal with Nike, according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania.  Charania adds there are plans for a signature shoe for Clark.  The Iowa State star has been a media darling for most of the season and throughout the NCAA Tournament. When LSU’s Angel Reese let Iowa’s Cailtin Clark know that she was incapable of optically perceiving her, it kicked up a firestorm with many, who happened to be of a lighter persuasion, took umbrage to Reese’s action.
