According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania , Carmelo Anthony will be suiting for another season in Portland. The ten-time all-star was signed by the Blazers last November that was seen as a move that would give Melo some sort of farewell tour. However Anthony proved that he was not done , as he averaged 15.4 points per contest, and gave the Blazers desperately needed offence in the form of a third scorer.

Carmelo Anthony will not be available for the Trail Blazers’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night. Melo suffered a knee contusion in the first half of the team’s game Friday night against the Orlando Magic that kept him out of the second half. Since being signed by the Blazers earlier this season, Anthony, for the most part, has played pretty good basketball, averaging 16.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

He’s averaged 16.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists since signing with the Blazers, and even got into a defensive stance one time.
