According to reports from The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, the leg injury that Demarcus Cousins suffered last night in the Warriors’ shocking game 2 loss was a torn left quadriceps muscles. Charania also adds that Cousins and the team will see how the injury responds to two weeks of rehab since he does not need surgery before they will have to officially rule him out for the remainder of the playoffs. Kevin Durant to miss game against Rockets with ankle injury

As reported by The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Golden State Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant, will not play in the team’s Wednesday game against the Houston Rockets. Durant suffered an ankle injury in the team’s 115-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Monday it was reported by Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle that KD was day-to-day. Klay Thompson expected to return Friday against Nuggets

According to Nick Friedell of ESPN, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said that he expects two guard Klay Thompson to play Friday against Denver. Thompson has missed the team’s last two games due to soreness in his right knee. He will be an welcome addition back to the Warriors who are coming off getting poundcaked by the Boston Celtics, 128-95 on Tuesday night. Center Kevon Looney is also expected to return to action Friday after being sidelined with pelvic soreness.

Defending NBA champ Golden State Warriors star two guard Klay Thompson will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Boston Celtics with right knee soreness, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN.  This is the second consecutive contest Thompson has missed with this same issue. Despite some up-and down play offensively, Thompson is averaging 22.0 points , 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists on 47% from the floor. The former Golden State Warriors guard left a guaranteed 2 year, $5.2 million deal on the table to sign a non-guaranteed 2 year, 6 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 28.
