The Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Gordon Hayward for at least the next four weeks. Saturday the Hornets announced the star forward had sprained his right foot and would be reevaluated in about four weeks. Hayward suffered the injury in the second quarter of the team’s Friday night win over the Indiana Pacers. The Charlotte Hornetsagreed to a deal with the forward on Saturday worth $120 million over four years, Hayward’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge. Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is having surgery on his injured left hand today, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hayward injured his hand Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. He had been playing well prior to his injury and was resembling the All-Star player that signed with the Celtics two years ago; through the first eight games he had averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on a scorching 55.5% from the floor, including 43.3% from downtown.
