With the KAI 1 already showing signs of being a success, it should come as no surprise that ANTA would look to capitalize on that momentum by expanding their Kyrie-related offerings, which these slides are evident of. Kyrie Irving debuts Anta signature sneaker

Last night against the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving debuted his initial signature with Chinese brand Anta, the Kai 1. Dubbed the “Artist on Court” for the artistry Irving displays on thehardwood, this lower collared silhouette sports a purple and multi-colored aesthetic, with the purple overlaying the colored sections. Kyrie branding appears on the tongue and rear heel with “11” on the tab at the bottom of the lacing system. A purple midsole and sail rubber outsole rounds out the aesthetic. In December, Nike made a wrong-headed decision to part ways with Kyrie Irving to end their partnership. Since that point, the future outlook for Irving’s footwear future has remained cloudly, with speculation abound linking Irving to several brands. in June the speculation was renewed when images of Irving surfaced wearing a pair of then-unknown Anta sneakers. We now know the mystery sneaker, which is the Anta Shock Wave Pro 5, but there is still no indication of an official deal with Kyrie has been inked.

Though many may not be aware Golden State Warriors star and national treasure Klay Thompson not only has a signature line with Chinese brand Anta but the series is on its seventh model, the KT7. Back in October of 2018 it was reported that Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward had signed a deal with Chinese footwear brand ANTA. A little over two weeks ago, we covered Boston Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward had signed a four year sneaker and apparel offer sheet with Chinese brand Anta. Obsessive Sneaker Disorder’s SOLEcial studies class has paved the way for many people’s entrance into the footwear industry. The 8 week course stretches the participants’ conceptions of the footwear industries and builds a sturdy foundation upon which a career in the footwear field can be built.
