Albany State gets taken to woodshed, 80-50 by Mississippi College in SIAC /GSC Basketball Challenge

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Albany State Golden Rams men’s basketball team were defeated (80-50) by the Mississippi College Choctaws in the SIAC and Gulf South Conference Basketball Challenge on Friday, November 11, in Livingston, Alabama.  The Golden Rams are now (0-1) while the Choctaws are (1-0) on the season. The Golden Rams trailed (36-23) at the half but couldn’t find enough offense to keep pace with the Choctaws after the break.  The Golden Rams were outscored (44-27) in the 2nd half. The Golden Rams shot 16/52 (30.8%) from…

Albany State men’s hoops to take part in SIAC/GSC Basketball Challenge

Courtesy of Dr.Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Albany State Golden Rams men’s basketball team will begin their season by participating in the SIAC and Gulf South Conference Basketball Challenge on November 11-13, in Livingston, Alabama.  The SIAC will be represented by Albany State University and Central State University.  The Gulf South Conference will be represented by Mississippi College and the University of West Alabama. The Albany State University Golden Rams will welcome six new members to the roster during the 2022-2023 men’s basketball season.  The recruiting class features signees from…
