Albany State gets taken to woodshed, 80-50 by Mississippi College in SIAC /GSC Basketball Challenge

The Albany State Golden Rams men’s basketball team were defeated (80-50) by the Mississippi College Choctaws in the SIAC and Gulf South Conference Basketball Challenge on Friday, November 11, in Livingston, Alabama.  The Golden Rams are now (0-1) while the Choctaws are (1-0) on the season.
 
The Golden Rams trailed (36-23) at the half but couldn’t find enough offense to keep pace with the Choctaws after the break.  The Golden Rams were outscored (44-27) in the 2nd half.
 
The Golden Rams shot 16/52 (30.8%) from the field in the game.  The Golden Rams connected on 4/11 (36.4%) from the 3-point line.  The Golden Rams also made 14/21 (66.7%) attempts from the free throw line in the game.
 
Terin Wofford led the Golden Rams with 12 points.  Wofford was the only player in double figures for the Golden Rams.
 
Tradavis Thompson led the Choctaws with 20 points.  Galen Smith finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the Choctaws.
 
The Golden Rams will play the University of West Alabama at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 13.  Please note that all games will be played according to the Central Time Zone!
