Tennessee State to play Morgan State in 2026 and 2027

Tennessee State and Morgan State will take part in a home-and-home series that starts in 2026.  TSU will welcome Morgan State on October 17, 2026, with the return meeting to take place in Baltimore next season.  Tennessee State is 4-0 all-time against Morgan, beating the Bears 14-0 at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in the 1972 Atlanta Ebony Classic and then 21-0 in 1985 at Vanderbilt Stadium.  The 1985 win was followed by a 52-10 beatdown in Baltimore in 1986, as well as a 37-17 victory in 1987 at Hale Stadium.  Information…

Marshall Faulk and Southern University made another splash in recruiting when they flipped to Isaiah Pina from Virginia Tech.  Pina , is rated a three-star prospect coming out of South Lake High School, where he recorded 32 receptions for 568 yards and 11 touchdowns. Tennessee State hoops falls to defending champs SIUE 74-66

After a brief period of hot shooting early on, Tennessee State’s offense lost its edge, while defensively they were unable to sufficiently impede the SIUE offense, losing to the defending OVC champs 74-66 Thursday night.  The Tigers shot just 32.8% (22-67) on the evening and a putrid 18% (4-22) from downtown. , The SIUE offense had no such issues; the Cougars were an efficient 52.1% (25-48) from the field and 41% (7-17) from the land of three. SIUE puts it on Tennessee State 63-41

SIUE separated early from the Lady Tigers, built what proved to be an insurmountable lead, and cruised to a comfortable 63-41 win Thursday evening. The Cougars blew the game open in the second quarter in which they outscored the Lady Tigers 28-7. This was the first of two quarters in which TSU scored a combined 14 points on 6-29 shooting. Fayetteville State v Winston-Salem State matchup rescheduled 

The much-anticipated contest between Fayetteville State and Winston Salem State, which was initially scheduled take place this weekend has been rescheduled due to the impending inclement weather that could be bearing down on the region.  The meeting is now slated to take place on Tuesday, January 27, with the women’s game tipping off at 6:00 p.m. EST, followed by the men’s contest at 8:00 pm.  Advance-purchased tickets will be honored.

Bowie State announces 2026 Football Schedule

The Department of Athletics at Bowie State University has announced its 2026 football campaign, featuring four home games at Bulldog Stadium, a very competitive slate of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) action, and two Division I nonconference matchups.
