Andre Iguodala’s MRI comes back clean, expected to play in Game 2

When Andre Iguodala came up lame late in game 1, there was serious concern that this was a serious injury. As it was a non-contact incident, the worst was thought. Iguodala finished the game and minimized the severity of the injury saying “I’ll be fine,” after the game, as reported by the Mercury News’ Mark Medina. According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said today that Kevin Durant will not play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. This will be the 7th game in a row Durant has missed due to a calf strain that apparently was more sever than initially thought. When Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off in Toronto, Kevin Durant will not be part of the proceedings. According to Nick Friedell of ESPN, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr decisively ended any speculation, stating: “KD’s not playing Game 1.” ESPN’s Rachel Nichols adds that the team has not even decided if he will travel to Toronto. Andre Iguodala out for Game 4 of West Finals

According to Mark Medina of the Mercury News, Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will miss Game 4 of Western Conference Finals with a sore left calf. Iguodala left in the third quarter of Game 3 with tightness in his left calf. A MRI performed Sunday came back negative. He was listed as questionable as it pertained to his participation in Game 4. Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala underwent an MRI earlier today for a lower leg injury he suffered in the ballclub’s 110-99 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in game 3 of the Western Conference Final.  Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that the MRI came back negative.  ESPN’s Nick Friedell adds that Iguodala’s status for Game 4 is uncertain.  Iguodala left in the third quarter of game three and was held out of the remainder of the game for “precautionary reasons”, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.  “We…

According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes , the Warriors have ruled Durant out for game two of the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazer. Golden State Warriors all-world forward Kevin Durant will not return to Game 5 after leaving with a lower leg injury. After hitting a baseline jumper, Durant pulled up lame and held his lower leg. Durant immediately hobbled off the floor and went straight to the locker room and the worst was feared. According to a report from Maddie Lee of the Oklahoman, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced that forward Paul George will at least miss the start of training camp after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder. It was initially reported by ESPN’s Royce Young and Adrian Wojnarowski.
