Tuesday, Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo underwent arthroscopic on his left knee to address an chronic injury. In his 54 appearances last season the big man averaged 4.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per contest. This is his second run with the franchise, he was acquired by the Hornets ( the Bobcats at the time) via a 2011 draft night trade after being originally selected 7th overall by the Sacramento Kings. Bucks’ Brogdon out for games 1 and 2

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Malcom Brogdon is going to miss games 1and 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Boston Celtics, according to Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. Brogdon has been out of the Milwaukee lineup since suffering a minor tear in the plantar fascia in his right foot in mid-March. He was originally expected to be out six to eight weeks. This season Brogdon averaged 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 28.6 minutes per contest.

DeMarcus Cousins’ Quad Injury Diagnosed as Tear

According to reports from The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, the leg injury that Demarcus Cousins suffered last night in the Warriors’ shocking game 2 loss was a torn left quadriceps muscles. Charania also adds that Cousins and the team will see how the injury responds to two weeks of rehab since he does not need surgery before they will have to officially rule him out for the remainder of the playoffs. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is not certain if he will take the court Saturday for game one of the team’s first round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets because of let knee pain. According to Rosalyn Gold-Onwude of TNT, the knee pain started after the All-Star break. The team will determine Embiid’s availability for Game 1 following Friday’s practice. The Boston Celtics and coach Brad Stevens announced earlier today that forward Jaylen Brown ( lower back spasms) would likely be out for the team’s game Wednesday night against the Miami Heat. Brown is averaging 13 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists this season, but has not taken the step forward that many thought he would coming off the strong play he exhibited in the later portion of last season as well as during their playoff run that came up half a quarter short of ending in the NBA Finals.
