Read MoreKyrie Irving out tomorrow against Cavaliers
According to Jay King of the Athletic, Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss the team’s game Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers for , the annoyingly increasing used term, “load management.” His colleague at The Athletic, Joe Vardon, had an interesting take observation on Irving’s absence tomorrow. Jayson Tatum and Al Horford are listed as questionable, while Robert Williams is doubtful. Playing the Cavaliers , even sans Kyrie could help the Celtics get back in the win column. They have been just 6-10 since the All-Star break…

Kyrie Irving will not be in the lineup when the Boston Celtics take on the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night. The team made the announcement earlier this afternoon that the star point guard is suffering from a left thigh contusion. Though the Celtics will miss the 23.4 points and 7.0 assists per game that Irving provides, the young core and other Celtics have stepped up in Kyrie’s absence this year, going 9-2 without Irving, but we are no way suggesting the Celtics, at least this season, are better off without their…
Read MoreSteve Clifford: ‘Very Difficult’ for Markelle Fulton to return this year
It appears the long and mystifying saga of Markelle Fultz will see no resolution in 2018-19. The former no.1 overall pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2017 NBA draft has seen just 33 games of action in his first two professional campaigns, as a shoulder issue lead to shooting issues. In those 33 games, he has posted averages of 7.7 points and 3.4 assist per game on 41.4 percent from the floor, 26.7 percent from three-point range and 53.4 from the foul line. The Sixers felt they had been…
