This colorway of the Kyrie 5, as previously outlined, will be releasing to celebrate Mamba Day 2019. The white upper with its purple and cyber accenting are a nod to the “Chaos” Nike Zoom Kobe V that released in 2009. The “Mamba Mentality” Kyrie 5 is scheduled to release April 13 at nike.com and select retail establishments. The sticker price is set at $130 USD. Like the PG 3 , we recently covered, there will also be a special edition of the Kyrie 5 commemorating Mamba Day 2019. Inspired by the “Chaos” Zoom Kobe V, this Kyrie 5 features a white and cyber color palette. It sports a white upper with purple present for the Flytrap device and the tongue. “Mamba Day” PG3 coming later this month

Nike will be releasing an edition of their PG 3 basketball shoe to celebrate Mamba Day. Although there are no images of the shoe currently available what is known is that it will make use of an multi color and optional yellow color palette. Nike Zoom Kobe IV Protro does not have full-length Zoom Air

Back in 2017, there was a major kerfuffle regarding the misrepresentation of the technology in the, at the time, recently retroed Air Jordan 15. The Nike Zoom Kobe IV is the next shoe in the Kobe line to get “protroed”, following in the outsoles of the Zoom Kobe 1 Protro. This Kobe 1 was worn by Kobe Bryant during the 2006 World Games and Nike Basketball has decided to return it to retail. The Kobe 4 will join the Kobe 1 as part of the Protro series with this coming release. This Kobe 4 will be outfitted in white, orion blue and varsity blue- colors associated with the “Draft Day” color scheme. Kobe Bryant Marathon to air Thursday on NBA TV

To celebrate Kobe Bryant’s 40th birthday, NBA TV is having a Mamba Marathon. The network will devote most of its programming that day to all things Kobe. KOBE A.D. “Oregon”

These will be coming soon to the feet of the University of Oregon Men’s basketball team. This team specific version of the A.D. features a black upper with yellow for the branding of the tongue Kobe logo, Swoosh, and the “O” logo on the heel. The midsole is wrapped in a yellow duck wing graphic. These are set for a March 10 release.

Kobe A.D. “BHM” Now Available

The Kobe A.D is the latest addition to the collection of footwear Nike has released to commemorate and celebrate Black History Month ( and to a lesser extent, the NBA all star weekend). Like the other shoes in the collection, the AD makes use of a white black and gold color scheme, with a graphic patterned white up front, black wrapping up around the heel and gold branding rounding out this sneaker’s aesthetic.
