To celebrate Kobe Bryant’s 40th birthday, NBA TV is having a Mamba Marathon. The network will devote most of its programming that day to all things Kobe. Here is the lineup of the day’s programming ( all times Eastern) 6 a.m. — Rookie Kobe soars to the Slam Dunk Contest title in Cleveland. KOBE A.D. “Oregon”

These will be coming soon to the feet of the University of Oregon Men’s basketball team. This team specific version of the A.D. features a black upper with yellow for the branding of the tongue Kobe logo, Swoosh, and the “O” logo on the heel. The midsole is wrapped in a yellow duck wing graphic. These are set for a March 10 release.

Kobe A.D. “BHM” Now Available

The Kobe A.D is the latest addition to the collection of footwear Nike has released to commemorate and celebrate Black History Month ( and to a lesser extent, the NBA all star weekend). Like the other shoes in the collection, the AD makes use of a white black and gold color scheme, with a graphic patterned white up front, black wrapping up around the heel and gold branding rounding out this sneaker’s aesthetic. The “BHM” Kobe A.D. is currently available on NIKEiD for $160 USD.

Navy KOBE A.D.

This latest edition of Kobe Bryant’s first post-retirement signature shoe features a navy upper, with white Swoosh branding on both lateral and medial sides and the tongue Shozuku logo. Red is the color of choice for the DNA-esque snake logo on the heel. A white midsole and outsole make up the rest of this look.  This colorways of the KOBE A.D. will be available February 25, 2016.  UPDATE: The release date was changed to February 1,2016.

This edition made exclusively for the Toronto Raptors Star features a black mesh upper with black leather wrapping around the heel. This upper sits on a black midsole that is accented with red, grey and white speckles. The same speckling is seen on the heel counter and white swoosh on the upper.
