Coppin State to take on East Carolina in NCAA Baseball Tourney

Coppin State, who claimed victory in the MEAC Baseball Tournament , after besting Delaware State 18-12, has found out their opponent in their first round opponent in the NCAA Baseball Championship. The Eagles, (24-28) will make their NCAA Tournament debut against the Pirates of East Carolina University (42-18) in the Greenville Regional. The Pirates, defeated the Cougars of the University of Houston 6-1 to capture the American Athletic Conference (AAC) championship. February 19, 2022 was truly a monumental day for HBCU sports. Cleveland, which is in the midst of hosting NBA All-Star weekend also was the setting for the inaugural HBCU Classic, which featured a matchup between MEAC schools Howard and Morgan State aired on NBA TV.
