Jacksonville Jaguars hire Urban Meyer as head coach

From Joseph Zucker of B/R: Urban Meyer is returning to the coaching ranks, but it won’t be at the college level.  On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars announced they hired Meyer. It will be the 56-year-old’s first time as an NFL head coach: Meyer most recently coached at Ohio State, compiling an 83-9 record in seven years at the school. The Buckeyes were national champions in 2014 and claimed the Big Ten title on three occasions under his watch. Ravens-Steelers game moved to Sunday

Wednesday the National Football League announced that the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers game that was initially set to be played on Thanksgiving has now been pushed back to Sunday. Buccaneers signs CB Grimes

Although some teams were allegedly frightened off by his wife’s antics, Tampa Bay Bucs signed free agent DB Brent Grimes to a 2 year, $16.5 million deal. The Pro Bowler had been released Wednesday by the Dolphins shortly after their acquisition of Byron Maxwell from the Philadelphia Eagles. The move looks to shore up a secondary that struggled last season, giving up 31 touchdowns through the air, which was the 5th most in the NFL. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, all-time great Peyton Manning is expected to announce his retirement on Monday, closing one of the great careers in League history.
