A tough season for Tennessee State came to a rough end with a 36-6 loss at the hands of the no.2 ranked Jacksonville State Gamecocks. The scoring did not get going until 4:07 to go in the first half with a Cade Stinnett 19-yard field goal, to give the Gamecocks a 3-0 lead. Albany State, powered by a defense that held Lincoln-Missouri scoreless in the second half, defeated the Blue Tigers 30-10. Albany State’s Marquez Thomas’ interception set the Golden Rams’ offense on the Lincoln 22-yard line. ASU would take advantage of the turnover on a Kelan Fraise 1 yard touchdown run. Defense helped seal deal in Tennessee State’s 45-21 victory over Eastern Kentucky

The Tigers of Tennessee State University were able to procure their first conference win this Saturday with a 45-21 win over Eastern Kentucky. TSU’s defense came out strong, pitching a shut out in the first half and only giving up 119 yards of offense. Tennessee State fell behind 24-0 to #24 UT Martin and it ultimately proved to be a hole too great for the tigers to climb out of as TSU suffered their first loss of the season, 31-16.
