Courtesy of the Southwestern Athletic Conference The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its 2022 Football Postseason Honors on Tuesday morning. The all-conference teams and individual award winners were voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors. Jackson State’s Shedeur Sanders was selected Offensive Player of the Year while fellow teammate Aubrey Hill, Jr. was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. Shadeur Sanders named Stats Perform FCS National Player of the Week

Jackson State quarterback Shadeur Sanders was named Stats Perform FCS National Player of the Week. Sanders was outstanding in JSU’s 38-16 rump -kicking of Tennessee State in the Southern Heritage Classic, completing 30 of his 40 pass attempts for 362 yards and three touchdowns. His 30 completions set a SHC record. The Tigers of Jackson State head to Monroe, Louisiana to take on Louisiana-Monroe this Saturday night in another nationally televised game on ESPN3. Kickoff is set for 7 pm EST.
