Michigan’s John Beilein signs 5-year deal to become Cavaliers Head Coach

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Michigan’s head basketball coach John Beilein have agreed on a five-year deal for him to assume the franchise’s head coach vacancy. Beilein has been the Wolverines’ head coach since 2007. In his time he compiled a 278-150 record, including nine trips to the NCAA tournament and two appearances in the title game. Malcolm Brogdon upgraded to probable for Game 5 vs. Boston

The Milwaukee Bucks announced that guard Malcolm Brogdon has now being listed as probable and is expected to play in Wednesday’s Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Boston Celtics. Brogdon has been out since tearing the plantar fascia in his right foot March 15 against the Miami Heat. In the 64 games he played in, all of which he started, Brogdon averages of 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists per contest. He was also very efficient, shooting 50.5 % from the field, including 42.6% on three pointers.…

Hornets’ Biyombo has surgery for chronic knee injury

Tuesday, Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo underwent arthroscopic on his left knee to address an chronic injury. In his 54 appearances last season the big man averaged 4.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per contest. This is his second run with the franchise, he was acquired by the Hornets ( the Bobcats at the time) via a 2011 draft night trade after being originally selected 7th overall by the Sacramento Kings. Milwaukee Bucks point guard Malcom Brogdon is going to miss games 1and 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Boston Celtics, according to Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. Brogdon has been out of the Milwaukee lineup since suffering a minor tear in the plantar fascia in his right foot in mid-March. He was originally expected to be out six to eight weeks.
