Jimmy Butler out for Rockets game

According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Miami Heat head coach Eric Spoelstra says that Jimmy Butler will miss the team’s tilt against the Houston Rockets Wednesday night. This will be the fourth missed game for Butler this season. He missed the first game of the season and two others when he had his first child. So far this season Butler is averaging 18.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.

RJ Barrett to miss tonight’s game, Kevin Knox to get the start

According to The Record/northjersey.com’s Chris Iseman, New York Knicks rookie shooting guard RJ Barrett will miss the team’s game Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets due to illness Kevin Knox will start in his place. Sixteen games into his rookie campaign, Barrett is averaging 15.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 33.4 minutes per contest.

Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Through the 10 games, Anunoby is averaging 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 30 minutes per game.
