Lebron James is done for the season

It appears Lebron James’ first playoff-less offeseason in over a decade will start even earlier than anticipated. In a statement, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, Lakers President Magic Johnson made announcement that Lebron would not play in the team’s final six ballgames. “After consulting with our team doctors and medical staff, we have decided to hold LeBron out of games for the remainder of the season. This decision will allow his groin to fully heal, and is best for the future success of both LeBron and the Lakers.” Lakers President,…

Danilo Gallinari is out with ankle injury

Los Angeles Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari will miss the team’s game with the Cleveland Cavaliers with a sore ankle, according to the LA Times’ Brad Turner. Gallinari has been hampered by injuries in the past, but has been relatively healthy this game, playing in 64 games and averaging 19.4 rebounds and 6.1 rebounds per contest. He has helped the Clippers more than exceed the expectations of many, firmly entrenching themselves in the Western Conference playoff hunt.

Lebron James out vs Jazz

Earlier today the Los Angeles Lakers announced that Lebron James will not play in the club’s Wednesday night game against the Utah Jazz due to ( say it with me) load management. This will be his third game missed in the Lakers’ last seven outings. It seems the missed games will pile up as the Lakers will not be participants in this year’s postseason. Look to see more Kyle Kuzma and Lance Stephenson in James’ absence.

Blazers’ Nurkic suffers severe leg injury

The Portland TrailBlazers defeated the New Jersey Nets 148-144 in double overtime Monday night but it came at great cost. Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic suffered a grusesome leg injury ( which we will not show images of or post links to, because we have couth) in the second overtime when he was attempting to tip in a missed shot when he landed awkwardly in traffic causing the leg to bend between the knee and ankle. He was stretchered off the court. It put a damper on not only a very…
