Former NBA veteran, world champion Andrew Bogut capped off his successful inaugural season in the NBL by being awarded the Andrew Gaze Trophy, which is given to the Most Valuable Player. The former no. 1 overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft garnered 83 votes to beat out Melbourne United’s Caspar Ware, who finished with 77 votes and Bryce Cotton of the Perth Wildcats, with 65 votes. Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play tonight in the team’s game against the Orlando Magic due to right knee soreness, according to team officials. Newly-acquired power forward, Nikola Mirotic is also listed a doubtful for tonight’s game with a calf strain.

The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to send veteran center Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors for Jonas Valinciunas, Delon Wright, CJ Miles and a 2024 second-round pick, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Brooklyn Nets small forward Allen Crabbe will make his return to the lineup tonight against the Denver Nuggets. Crabbe had been sidelined for 26 games with a knee issue ( lingering soreness). Sixers will not sign Brewer for season’s remainder

It appears that the Philadelphia Sixers will not be retaining the services of veteran wing Corey Brewer for the rest of the season. The team had signed Brewer to a 10-day contract on January 15 and then to a second deal on January 25.
