Sixteen Spartans named to Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-MEAC Teams

Tarik Cohen retires from football, ends comeback bid

Despite him saying he “definitely” feels all the way back earlier this week, former North Carolina A&T running back Tarik Cohen has announced his retirement from the game of football.  After a stellar career at NCAT that saw him leave as MEAC’s all-time leading rusher with 5,619 yards, while also setting school records for rushing touchdowns (56), total touchdowns (59), and points, Cohen was drafted in the 4th round, 119th overall, by the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. PE Corner: Jrue Holiday wears white “USA” Kobe IV Protro

We recently highlighted Jewell Loyd rocking a red iteration of the “USA” Kobe IV Protro in Olympic action and now fellow Olympian and two-time NBA Champion Jrue Holiday was spotted in a white-based iteration of these Kobes.  Its white upper is spread across a combination of leather and FlyWire-equipped side panels. Tyrese Haliburton was seen in a navy-based iteration of the Sabrina 2 and the sneaker’s namesake herself took to the court in a predominantly white look.  It sports a largely white mesh upper with metallic red Swooshes on the lateral and medial sides. Dave Yamane named head baseball coach at Xavier University of Louisiana

Chicago Bulls announced their 2024-25 preseason schedule

The Chicago Bulls have released their preseason schedule. The five-game tilt features two road games and three at the friendly confines of the United Center.  Things get started with a Tuesday, October 8 road matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Next is playing host to the Memphis Grizzlies on October 12.  October 14 the Bulls will be the guests of division foe Milwaukee Bucks.
