This upcoming iteration the Nike Book 1 sports an ashen slate upper spread across a combination of nubuck and textile. The tongue reads “BOOK” with a small Swoosh, while on the book-inspired rear heel tab a “96”, the year of Booker’s birth can be seen. The Nike Book 1 is inspired by the life journey Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker, with a barcode that features numbers of importance in Booker’s life such as the zip codes of Grand Rapids and Phoenix. Other personal details includes his initials on the tongue tags, and this birth year “96”on the rear heel tab, which are meant to bear a resemblance to the pages of a book. This colorway of Devin Booker’s first signature shoe sports a combination canvas and leather upper adorned on the sides with tumbled leather Swooshes. On the outside of the rear pull tab reads “CHAPTER ONE” and “96” , a call back to the year of Booker’s birth, 1996.
