In a recent game against the San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns all-world forward Kevin Durant took to the court in another pair of PEs of his KD 16.  These appear to sport a brown upper with a gradient wing that fades from an intense pink to purple. Pink piping laps the upper and also appears on the eyerows. Orange and yellow Swooshes appear on the medial and lateral ankles, respectively. with a KD logo seen on the top give. The “Slim Reaper” Nike KD 16

This KD 16 is inspired by one of Kevin Durant’s nicknames, Slim Reaper, which I read he apparently is not a fan of. It sports a wine and black multi-layer mesh upper with white Swooshes flanking both sides of the rear foot. The lower third of the upper is black and is delineated from the upper portion by silver (possibly reflective ) piping. This colour of the KD 16 pays homage to the NBA superstar’s mother, Wanda Durant. The upper is comprised of a multilayer mesh that is outfitted in mint foam , with stadium green and and emerald rise also showing in the form of nubuck overlays. This upcoming KD 16 is made for the New York vs New York , an annual summer tournament that brings together the crème de la crème from six summer leagues – Watson (Bronx), West 4th (Manhattan), Lincoln Park (Queens), Gersh (Brooklyn), Dyckman (Manhattan), and Tri-State (Manhattan). An intial look at the “Aunt Pearl” Nike KD 16

Since the KD IV, every subsequent model in the KD line has featured one colorway commemorating Durant’s late Aunt Pearl who succumbed to that pernicious disesase, breast cancer in 2000. From the images a sneaker with a pink upper lapped with white piping and Swooshes of the same hue flanking the ankle. We previously reported on images of this colorway of the KD 16 that had emerged and now a new and closer set of pictures have come to light… The royal bue of the upper is separated from the magenta portion by a reflective piping/ A light blue wing wraps up on the lateral side. Magenta Nike and KD branding can be seenon the lateal ankle and tongue, respectively. Underneath resdies a white and light blue midsole and a gera wheel patterned translucent rubber outsole.

The season didn’t end the way Kevin Durant and his new Phoenix Suns compatriots would have liked, as they got dog-walked 125-100 by the Denver Nuggets in Game 6, meaning we will likely not see the 16 on NBA courts anymore this season. As we await an actual release, we will have to settle for images of the sneakers as they trickle forth. Images of a tri-colored variation of KD’s yet-to-released signature sneaker. Kevin Durant debuts latest shoe against Clippers

Recently we reported on initial images surfacing of the KD 16 and now the man himself, Kevin Durant, has unofficially introduced his latest shoe to the world. In the first two games of the Suns’ opening round playoff series against the Clippers, Durant broke out a mostly black version of his new kicks. Durant had a near triple-double, scoring 27 points, dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 9 rebounds but the Suns came up short, 115-110 in Game 1. An initial look at the Nike KD 16

The signature line of Kevin Durant marches forward as images have emerged of sixteenth iteration of the series. It features a lower collared silhouette with piping and a later wing that is reminiscent of the Air Penny II. KD and Nike branding can be seen on the tongue and lateral ankle, respectively, completing an upper that sits atop a midsole that will likely house Zoom Air cushioning or we could see it implemented in a strobel fashion, as well as a rubber outsole.
