Nearly $1.7 Million in counterfeit Nikes seized by Customs and Border Protection

Customs and Border Protection announced Tuesday that their officers at the Port of New York and New Jersey seized over 9,000 pair of counterfeit Nikes worth nearly $1.7 million. According to a press release issued by the agency, CBP officers inspected the shipment when it arrived from Dongguan City, China in late September. The seizure was completed last Thursday.   Officers then submitted digital images of the sneakers to CBP’s Apparel Footwear and Textiles Center for Excellence and Expertise, the agency’s trade experts. Nike is releasing two Lakers-esque colorways of the Kobe AD. The first pair is outfitted with a hyper grape upper on the lateral side split with university gold on the medial side, The midsole and outsole share this same color splitting. This Kobe 1 was worn by Kobe Bryant during the 2006 World Games and Nike Basketball has decided to return it to retail. A look at the “Galaxy” Kyrie 5

This version of the Kyrie 5 features a navy blue upper with metallic silver coloring on the lateral and medial side Swooshes and tongue Kyrie logos. On the Venus Flytrap-inspired lockdown system a galaxy pattern is found. On the heel, the all-seeing-eye makes its home. Red Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite coming soon

There are more Foamposite-based shoes coming soon from Nike, but this time they are not a One or a Pro. Another Air Force 1 Foamposite is headed to retail this week.
