“Olympic” Air Foamposite One pictures finally surface

Although the 2016 Summer Olympics’ opening ceremony doesn’t commence for nearly 4 months(116 days to be exact), Nike is not waiting until then to get in the Olympic spirit. This upcoming Foamposite One features a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme.  A white foamposite upper is complemented by obsidian around the laces and red interior. Nike Announces “Black Mamba” Pack honoring Kobe Bryant

As we unfortunately close in on the end of the career of one Kobe Bryant, Nike is releasing a special pack commemorating and honoring the legend. Companies severing ties with Sharapova

The financial implications from Maria Sharapova’s failed doping test, have already become apparent, as several companies are cutting ties with the tennis star. Shortly after news of the announcement broke, athletic apparel giant, Nike suspended the 8 year/ $70 million deal that included a clothing line, which was extended in 2010. Sports Authority Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

If you have a job at the Sports Authority, you may want to dust up that resume. That’s because the sports retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday. Amongst its creditors are Nike, to whom it owes a whopping $48 million dollars , and Under Armour $23 million. The company has been adversely affected by more shoppers purchasing online, rather than brick-and-mortar locations. They are planning to close 140 of their 463 stores as well as two distribution centers in Denver and Chicago, respectively.
