Netflix is making another major move into sports and podcast programming. The streaming giant has announced a multi-year partnership with The Pivot, the award-winning sports and culture podcast hosted by former NFL stars Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor. Beginning Sept. 8, new video episodes of The Pivot will stream exclusively on Netflix every Tuesday and Friday. Ryan Clark Was Informed of ESPN Departure During ‘NFL Live’ After Reports of Imminent Layoff

Ryan Clark’s ESPN exit unfolded earlier than the network originally planned. According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, ESPN informed Clark during Monday’s episode of NFL Live that the network was parting ways with him after media inquiries began circulating about his status and executives feared the news would leak before they could tell him directly.
