Albany State Basketball heads to SC for key SIAC games

The Albany State University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams both are hitting the road for pair games over the next several days. ASU is heading to Columbia, SC to take on the Tigers of Benedict on Thursday. They will follow that up with a game against Allen University on February 19. Courtesy of Benedict Athletics COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers drained 13 3-pointers, led by Brandon Smith’s season-high six 3-pointers, and the Tigers defeated Clark Atlanta University 96-78 on Monday night in the Benjamin E. The Albany State University Men’s basketball team ( 7-14, 5-7) suffered a tough loss to the Cougars of Columbus State University ( 14-6, 5-5) Monday evening. The Golden Rams were up 36-34 at the end of the first half and would continue to hold the advantage in the second half, pushing the lead to 17 points at 55-38 when Maxwell Harris sank a pair of free throws with 13:46 to go in the contest.
