Albany State tennis sweeps Fort Valley State

The Albany State tennis team took care of business , 7-0, Saturday against the Wildcats of Fort Valley State. In singles competition Doylisha Copeland, Allyah Williams, Asia Raulerson, Sumana Panauganti, Carla Sorroche all claimed victory in their respective matches. In doubles play, Copeland and Williams won their match 6-0, while Bianca Leao and Sumana Panauganti were almost as dominant, winning their match 6-1. SIAC Tennis Round goes well for Albany State

Courtesy of Albany State University Athletics The Golden Rams tennis team went 7-0 in the Conference Round-Up on February 24-26, 2022.  The Golden Rams are now 10-1 on the season. On Day #1, the Golden Rams went 3-0 as they defeated Spring Hill College (4-3), Benedict College (4-3) and Lane (7-0).  The Golden Rams had another successful day competing in the Conference Round Up on Friday, February 25, in Atlanta, Georgia.  The Golden Rams defeated LeMoyne-Owen (6-0) and Tuskegee (6-0).  On Day #3, the Golden Rams defeated Savannah State (4-2) and Clark-Atlanta (4-0). The…

Albany State Tennis gets two wins

The Albany State tennis team moved to 2-0 after wins over Central Alabama Community College and Huntington College in their season’s first competition. Game 1 saw ASU defeat CACC 7-2. In singles matches, Asia Raulerson, Bianca Leao, Carla Sorroche, Allyah Williams and Sumana Panauganti were all victorious, while tandems Bianca Leao & Allyah Williams and Sumana Panauganti & Carla Sorroche got wins in doubles. Game 2, Albany State swept Huntington College 9-0. Asia Raulerson, Doylisha Copeland, Bianca Leao, Carla Sorroche, Allyah Williams and Sumana Panauganti were all victorious in singles competition.
