Albany State women’s hoops loses to Columbus State 73-54

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Golden Rams women’s basketball team was defeated (73-54) by the Columbus State Cougars on Tuesday evening at the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center, in Columbus, Georgia.  With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (0-3) on the season while the Cougars improved to (2-0). The Golden Rams led (19-16) at the end of the 1st quarter.  But, the Golden Rams only scored 9 points in the 2nd quarter while allowing 18 points to the Cougars and trailed (34-28) at the half.  The Golden…

Albany State quarterback was named HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW. In the Golden Rams’ 48-7 anhilation of conference for Miles College, the graduate signal caller completed 15 of his 29 pass attempts for 3 touchdowns , while also added another 89 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 carries. On theseason, the Atlanta, GA native has appaered in 7 game,s completing 78 of 143 passes for 1121 yards, 9 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
