A closer look at the “Halo” Nike Kobe IX Elite Protro

The “Halo” Kobe IX Elite Protro is a new colorway of the well-received Kobe IX Elite that is slated to release this summer. Conceived as a tribute to the late, great Kobe Bryant, these sport an angelic all-white Flyknit upper with all branding and markings also appearing in white. PE Corner: Aja Wilson broke out LeBron XXII PE

Las Vegas Aces star and current Olympian Aja Wilson unveiled a Player Exclusive edition of the LeBron XXI. The USA themed sneaker sports a white upper with a navy bordered red portion that forms the shape Swoosh on the lateral side. Navy also shows up on the LeBron signature on the lateral side. LeBron unveils new colorway of the LeBron XXII

The U.S. Men’s National Basketball opened up Olympic pool play against Serbia on Sunday. In the game, which the U.S. won, 110-84, LeBron James broke out a new colorway of his yet-to-be-released LeBron XXII. They sport a navy upper with a red-bordered white overlay that forms the shape of a Swoosh on the lateral side. Red shows up at the inner, tongue backing, LeBron’s signature on the heel  A white midsole and navy rubber outsole complete the aesthetic.  As it currently stands it is not yet known if these will see a retail release.  Images via talksole

Ja Morant’s special edition Hall of Fame Ja 2

Ja Morant was recently inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame Nike helped him do so in style, hooking him up with a special-editon iteration of his yet-to-be-released Ja 2. They appear to make use of a grey and light blue color palette with what looks like a claw scratch pattern spread throughtout the upper. Seattle Storm guard and United States Women’s National Basketball team member Jewell Loyd rocked a USA-themed colorway of the Kobe IV Protro in international action.  They sport a red upper with FlyWire-equipped side panels. Navy-bordered white Swooshes adorn the aforementioned panels, with white also showing up on the Kobe logo perched atop the tongue. This upcoming colorway of the rookie signature sneaker of Phoenix Suns star and Olympian, Devin Booker, the Nike Book 1 is on the way for the fall season.
