TSU’s Saniah Parker named OVC Frosh of the Week

Tuesday morning Tennessee State University lady basketballer Saniah Parker was announced as Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the week. In helping the Lady Tigers go 2-0 last week, Parker scored 14 against UT Martin and followed that up with a season, and career-high 18 points against Southeast Missouri. Parker was scorching from the floor in those games, hitting 12-16 from the floor including knocking down 75% of her three point attempts and 83% of her free throws. TSU’s Tatyana Davis named OVC Newcomer of the Week

Tennessee State University guard Tatyana Davis was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Newcomer of the week. Davis put up a career-high 25 points against Tennessee Tech and followed that up with 17 versus Morehead StateIn helping the Lady Tigers go 2-0 in the past week. There were three games scheduled for Wednesday’s Southwestern Athletic Conference women’s hoops action , but only one actually got take the court, with the Alabama A&M /Nicholls State and Alcorn State’s matchup with Texas both being cancelled due to the perniciousness of COVID-19.
