Talented shooting guard Jordyn Bailey commits to Fisk University

The Fisk Women’s Basketball team wants to continue building upon their successful 2022-23 season. Jordyn Bailey, a talented 5’5″ senior from Athens, AL, has committed to playing for the Fisk Women’s Basketball Team under Head Women’s Basketball Coach Victoria Crawford. With a passion for biology, Jordyn plans to major in the field while continuing to excel on the court.

Jordyn’s impressive resume includes a variety of academic and athletic accolades. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, National Beta Club, Future Health Professionals Club (HOSA), Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and Athens Limestone Leaders Encouraging a Difference (LEAD). She was also voted on the homecoming court for three years, winning the title of Homecoming Queen in 2023. Additionally, Jordyn was selected as one of Athens Limestone Hospital’s ambassadors out of 90 people.


On the court, Jordyn was a standout shooting guard for the Alabama Southern Stars Harrison 2023 team. Her athletic accomplishments include being named to the All-Athens Limestone First Team, Decatur Daily: All Area First Team, All-Academic for three years, and All-Area Honorable Mention for the All/Tennessee Valley Girls Basketball Team. She was also mentioned in Quiet Giants’s Prep Girls Hoops article and was nominated for the AHS AA Elite 100 showcase.
