Tennessee State’s Karate Brenson hits the transfer portal


In a Friday afternoon post to his X account Tennessee State-wise receiver Chavalier Brenson, or as he is better known. “ Karate”, informed the world that he was the latest Tiger to hit the transfer portal. 

Following his freshman campaign at Ball State, Brenson transferred to Tennessee State. In his first season at TSU Brenson appeared in 10 games finishing with 25 receptions and 329, both of which were second on the team. The following season Brenson was again second on the team with 28 catches and third with 277 yards. It was in 2024 when Brenson would have his breakout season, hauling in 79 passes for 1,088 yards and 6 touchdowns, and was named to the All OVC-Big South Second Team.
