Tennessee State’s Terrell Allen named Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week

Tennessee State defensive lineman Terrell Allen was named Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week for his gridiron exploits this past weekend. In the Tigers’ Homecoming win against the Spartans of Norfolk State, Allen recorded seven tackles ( 6 solo), 4 tackles for loss, as well as a pass breakup. Allen also recorded a pair of sacks, which was his first multi-sack game of the season.

On the season, the senior has 29 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 pass defensed.

This is the fifth consecutive TSU game that a Tigerhas garnered all conference honors, following in the cleats of James Green, James Lowery (2x) , and Monroe Beard.
