INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Tuskegee University football team has made its 2022 debut in the NCAA regional rankings at No. 6 in the Super Region Two Rankings with two games remaining.

The Golden Tigers find themselves in the top ten of the rankings that include teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Gulf South Conference (GSC), South Atlantic Conference (SAC), and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).

Super Region Two has proved to be a tough region thus far in the year, with a pair of undefeated teams in Delta State (No. 6 AFCA/No. 7 D2Football) and Benedict (No. 9 AFCA/No. 12 D2Football) at 8-0 and 9-0 respectively, followed by ranked teams in numerous polls in Wingate (No. 20/21), West Florida (No. 8/8), and Virginia Union (No. 16/15).

Rounding out the bottom half of the top ten are Tusculum (8-1), Tuskegee (7-1), Albany State (7-1), Limestone (6-2), and Fayetteville State (7-2).

The top seven teams from each region will compete in the playoffs with the No. 1 seed getting a first-round bye. The No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 teams will host the first round.
