Klay Thompson’s status for the pivotal Game tonight is still uncertain but the team would rather him sit out tonight’s proceedings.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne , the Warriors officials would prefer if the All-Star guard would not play in Game 3 and rest the hamstring strain that cut his Game 2 short.
Thompson is trying to sway them to green light him playing but it will be a gametime decision, something Klay himself had previously alluded to.
With the series tied at 1-1, the Warriors probably feel that Stephen Curry, DeMarcus Cousins, Draymond Green and company may be enough to get a Game 3 win or even if the suffer a loss, they would be better positioned to compete and win the series with a healthier Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant later in the series.
