Central State beats Clark-Atlanta 7-0 in muddy battle

It was a rainy, windy day in Wilberforce, Ohio. The center of McPerson Stadium , grass was once present, became a muddy quagmire that bogged down both offenses. The Claflin University took the 2018 SIAC Men’s tournament crown by defeating Clark Atlanta University 69-61 in the championship game. Clark-Atlanta rallied from 13 down to defeat Claflin and earn a spot Saturday’s SIAC championship game. Despite their All-Conference and All-American forward Brandon Morris picking up two early fouls, Benedict was able to build a ten-point halftime lead off the strength of blistering shoot from behind the arc.
