Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Two arrested in Beaverton storage facility sneaker theft

A pair of males have been arrested in connection with the theft of a “high-value” sneaker collection from a Beaverton, Oregon storage facility.  The suspects, identified as Dustin Kosmecki, 47, and Corey Schmidt, 45, both of Portland, Oregon were arrested and booked into the Washington County jail, but oddly law enforcement has not stated on what charges the duo is facing.  A police investigation revealed the suspects entered a rental agreement in December 2025 at the Public Storage located at 5353 Southwest 107th Avenue.
