Jackson State drops second game of foreign tour, 83-81

Jackson State had four players in double figures on Sunday night but came up short in an 83-81 loss to the LBP All-Stars in the second game of its foreign tour.

Dylan Canoville finished one rebound shy of a double-double, leading the Tigers with 12 points and nine rebounds including three offensive, while Keiveon Hunt added 12 points and a pair of assists in the loss. Meanwhile, Jayme Mitchell Jr. finished with 10 points while Marcus Watson Jr. chipped in with 10 points.

Romelle Mansel finished with eight points and eight rebounds for Jackson State who finished the night shooting 44.6 (33-of-74) percent from the floor and 21.4 (6-of-28) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 50.0 (9-of-18) percent from the free throw line.

Chris Perez led LBP Red with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Jon Vazquez added 17 and Jeremy Rosado 16. LBP Red finished the night shooting 41.9 (26-of-62) percent from the floor and 34.5 (10of-29) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 65.6 (21-of-32) percent from the free throw line.

The Tigers fell behind early in the contest, trailing by seven in the first before taking a 42-39 lead at the break. They fought back after trailing heading into the fourth quarter, outscoring LBP by two points in the final stanza.
