Yesterday Adidas and the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), who organizes the Boston Marathon, announced the the launch of the Boston Marathon RunBase in conjunction with Marathon Sports, Inc. This Adidas exclusive location is the first of its kind and will open its doors in mid-April and it is just steps from the race finish line.
The unique state-of-the-art running hub will celebrate the Boston Marathon all year long. It will feature displays created by the B.A.A. drawn up from its archives. It will be filled with exhibits and historic photos from the past 119 years of the Boston Marathon, which includes medals, race bibs, trophies, and jackets. Visitors and customers will be able to run any part of the Marathon route with visuals and terrain that simulates every step of the race course on the official RunBase treadmill. The RunBase will also have a changing room with lockers; showers will also be available,as the Base will also be used for informal runs.

Boston is the first of several U.S. RunBase locations in the works. There are currently six locations in Tokyo, Moscow, London, Sãu Paulo, Prague and the Nordics with other locations planned worldwide within the next year.
The Boston RunBase will be located at 855 Bolyston Street and open daily from 10 A.M. (9 A.M. during race weekend) to 8P.M. You can check out www.bostonrunbase.com for more information.
