BREAKING: Olympic Medalist Jenny Simpson Suffers Cardiac Arrest During Raleigh Event

The track and field community is rallying around American distance-running legend Jenny Simpson after reports emerged that she suffered cardiac arrest during a pop-up mile event in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to reports, Simpson collapsed on the field and lost her pulse before first responders quickly intervened. Emergency personnel were able to successfully revive the Olympic medalist at the scene before transporting her to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Yesterday Adidas and the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), who organizes the Boston Marathon, announced the the launch of the Boston Marathon RunBase in conjunction with Marathon Sports, Inc.
