HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M football fans can now make their 2023 plans with certainty as the department has released the football schedule for the upcoming season. The Bulldogs will compete in 11 total games during the season, with five at home and seven outside the city of Huntsville.
Alabama A&M will start their year away from home for the second straight year in 2023, kicking off the slate in Nashville to take on Vanderbilt on Sept. 2 at FirstBank Stadium. In the following week on Sept. 9, the Bulldogs will host Lane in the home opening Louis Crews Classic.
A&M will open Southwestern Athletic Conference play on the road on Sept. 16, as they take on Southern inside of A.W. Mumford Stadium, before three straight home contests starting with Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sept. 23.
September will close with the Bulldogs hosting Tuskegee in their annual Homecoming game on Sept. 30, as they face the Golden Tigers in Louis Crews Stadium for the first time in a decade, with the last occurrence being in 2013.
Flipping into the month of October, A&M will meet Jackson State in Mobile on Oct. 7, before Alabama A&M head back on the road for a meeting with Grambling State on Oct. 14.
After a bye week, the Bulldogs and Hornets will meet at Legion Field for the Magic City Classic on Oct. 28 for the 86th all-time meeting, a series A&M leads 43-41-2 all time.
Florida A&M will make the trip to Huntsville on Nov. 4 for the fourth home game of the season, before the Bulldogs hit the road for a Nov. 11 matchup with Bethune-Cookman. Meanwhile, the home schedule concludes on Nov. 18 with a meeting with Mississippi Valley State for the final game of the 2023 regular season.
