Albany State baseball defeated by Valdosta State

After scoring 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning, the Albany State Golden Rams lost (7-5) to the Valdosta State Blazers on Wednesday evening in Valdosta, Georgia.  With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (1-2) on the season while the Blazers improved to (5-2).
 
In the 1st inning, the Golden Rams scored when Lavoisier Fisher doubled down the right field line to score Zane Ross.  Austin Robertssingled to right field to score Nate Lloyd and Lavoisier Fisher.  Hill Corley scored when Chase Karn singled to center field to give the Golden Rams a (4-0) advantage.
 
In the 7th inning, the Golden Rams scored when Chase Karn homered to left field to close the gap to (7-5).
 
John Luegering was the losing pitcher for the Golden Rams.  Luegering is now (0-1) on the season.
 
The Golden Rams will host Tuskegee University on this weekend for a 3-game series on the ASU West Campus.
